Living La Dolce Vita

Blusher, Orgasm, £21.50; Pencil Sharpener, £5; Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, £17.50. All from Liberty.
Nars is a brand that hasn't really featured on my radar. When I want a mid-range treat I tend to head straight to MAC. However, when I saw someone wearing Dolce Vita I knew I had to have it. It's kind of like a natural lip colour but better. Does that make sense? It's like the best shade your lips could naturally be but obviously not natural. Oh! I've confused myself now! Anyway, it's a great shade. It looks a lot darker in the flesh, and in this photo, than it does on your lips.

Now, I couldn't visit a new make-up stand and only buy one thing. This time I went for one of Nars' most popular products: blusher in Orgasm. The colour is a beautiful peachy pink and gives a really nice glow that is not overpowering. I usually use a bright pink blush but feel that Orgasm gives me a bit of a healthier look. Highly recommended.

Here's a close up of Dolce Vita on my lips. Can you see now what I mean about the colour?? I hope so!

So far so good with my Nars buys. I am looking forward to trying a few more of their products. Their bronzer in Laguna, lip pencil in Dragon Girl, and Radiant Creamy Concealer are all on my 'to buy' list.

Are there any other Nars products that you recommend?

  1. Was Dolce Vita my fault? Haha! It's one of my faves now and ALWAYS in my bag. I also have Dragon Girl and the concealer ... Both very good ... And if I 'bronzed' I would've bought Laguna. I wanna try the sheer glow foundation eventually ... I have a little bit of a Nars problem. x

    1. The Dolce Vita was definitely your fault. As was the MAC powder. And Ruby Woo. I basically want to steal your make up bag. Even though we are different races! Ooooh yeah, Sheer Glow is a good one! xx
