Selfridges has long been the best department store in London (according to me), and now it has been given that official title. It caters to all markets, young and old, rich and slightly less rich and it does it all in a place where you feel welcome. Unlike some stores it doesn't exude pretention and it's always bustling enough for you to blend right in. I took a trip to catch sight of the oh-so-gorgeous Burberry aviator jacket (more to come on that later) and decided to snap the windows. Their theme of want is quite good,I think it captures the essence of how a lot of people feel when it comes to designer clothes. We all yearn for these things and then go and find cheap imitations on the high street. I like the simplicity of the displays and they've changed the items which keeps things interesting. The Stella McCartney dress is stunning and I can't tell you how much I want that Lanvin necklace which, at £1220, is a bit out of my league.
